The Salesforce platform is great, I'm a huge fan! It is the most popular CRM on the the market, with a market share of around 20%.
Their system is awesome for visualising customer information, doing account planning and creating marketing automation.
BUT, there is a but.
The Salesforce platform is as weak as other CRM-providers in one area, and that is in tracking sales activities.
A CRM is only as good as the data it contains and as salespeople log as little as 20% of their sales activities, lack of data remains one of the biggest challenges for their users.
The common intention behind implementing Salesforce® is so that you can have a centralized system where your salespeople log all their customer interactions. So that other employees with appropriate permissions have access to those previous conversations when needed.
In addition to this, you might want to use the Salesforce platform for reporting, account planning and as a base for building marketing automation.
All of these rely on the assumption that your CRM contains accurate data, but with salespeople logging only a fraction of their sales calls, emails and meetings, it's evident that there is a problem.
Imagine all the valuable client related information you’ll lose if one of your most senior employees resigns, or how unprofessional you seem if two salespeople are pursuing the same prospect.
As a CRM-system only is as good as the data it contains, the million dollar question is:
How can we make sure that all sales activities are logged?
With Salestrail’s Gmail integration you’ll have the possibility to track emails and meetings automatically to the Salesforce platform.
The only thing - actually two things you need to do are:
That's it! No further hassle, and the whole process takes about two minutes, requiring almost no technical skills.
The Gmail - Salesforce® integration ensures that all emails between you and the people whose email address you have in your CRM are logged, no matter which device you send your emails from.
You can send emails through Gmail, either through desktop or your smartphone as you would normally and trust Salestrail to log client emails for you.
Awesome right?
If you want to give this a try you can download the iOS app here and the Android app here.
You also have the possibility to sync your Gmail calendar with Salesforce® and have all of your meetings logged under the right contact and account.
This means that the only thing you need to do when scheduling a new meeting is to add it into your Google calendar and you can trust the app to log it to Salesforce for you.
After the meeting, Salestrail will send you a notification, so that you can add notes and update required fields if needed.
