How Does the Call Recording Work?

Salestrail allows you to automatically record both SIM and WhatsApp calls, offering flexible settings to fit your specific business needs. Call recordings can be accessed from both the mobile app and the Salestrail call analytics dashboard, or synced directly to your CRM.

Recording SIM calls

For recording SIM calls we offer two options.

1. Use your phone's built-in recorder
If your phone has a native call recording feature, Salestrail can utilize it as the recording source. This is the recommended option for devices that use their default dialer.

Note: The built-in call recorder is not accessible on devices that use the Google Dialer (e.g., many Android phones from OnePlus, Pixel, and some Redmi models). In these cases, the second option is required.

2. Using the Salestrail Recorder App
If your phone does not have a built-in call recorder, you can use the Salestrail Recorder App to capture both SIM and WhatsApp calls. All recordings are automatically pushed to the call analytics dashboard, where they can be reviewed and analyzed.

Recording Whatsapp calls

Unlike SIM call recording, WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business calls cannot be recorded through a phone’s built-in recorder. To record these calls, the Salestrail Recorder App must be used.

Where are the Call recordings stored?

The call recordings are securely stored in our cloud and accessible from the mobile app and the call analytics dashboard. With Salestrail robust user management structure you can make sure that only the right people can access the recordings.
